The Master of Professional Accountancy Program provides specialized training in accounting and related fields for those who wish to prepare for a career in public accounting and meet the 150-hour educational requirement to be eligible for the CPA exam in many states (state dependent).

The program is comprised of 42 credit hours of foundation courses and 30 hours of advanced courses. Students who enter the program with all foundation coursework or equivalent courses completed in their previous degree will be given advanced standing and will only need to complete the 30 credit hours of advanced coursework. The advanced coursework is made up of 18 hours of core courses and 12 credit hours of electives.

Students can earn their degree in as little as 12 months on campus or approximately 2 years online depending on individual student programs of study.

Standard admission items include the following: application, resume, statement of purpose, letters of recommendation, official transcripts, official GMAT score. The USD Graduate School has a rolling admission process so your materials will be reviewed by committee as soon as they are received for a prompt admission decision.
