Nursing (Education, Administration, and Gerontology)

Department Website www.csustan.edu/nursing

The primary purpose is to develop skilled professionals able to assume positions of leadership and nursing administration. Students electing the concentration in education will be prepared to assume roles in academic or service settings. The concentration in gerontological nursing will prepare nurses to meet the growing demands of an aging population allowing them to function as managers, providers, and organizers of geriatric health care. Nursing Adminstration courses and business support courses in financial accounting, economics, and marketing prepare leaders for a rapidly changing healthcare environment.
