This program is open to students with a variety of educational backgrounds and disciplines, primarily in the health information management, information technology, or business management area. Graduates will have skills needed to manage information technology applications in the healthcare industry and to provide administrative support for the implementation and management of the complex information systems used in the health care industry. Specific admission requirements include essential knowledge of information systems fundamentals and of healthcare delivery fundamentals, as well as GRE and GPA requirements outlined on the program website. Students not meeting knowledge requirements will be required to take additional knowledge support courses. Courses are offered using a variety of delivery methods, but it is available completely online. Application deadlines include June 15th for fall admittance, November 15th for spring admittance, and April 15th for summer admittance.
