The OHSU School of Nursing offers an innovative mentored education leading to the Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree. The program prepares nurse scientists to develop new knowledge through research and assume positions of leadership in academic and health care settings. The recently redesigned curriculum emphasizes seminar courses focused on our signature science areas of integrative biobehavioral research and health equity research with major threads across courses involving research methods, innovative team science, and leadership to nurture students in their progression from novice to scholar. Effective for students enrolling in fall 2017, applicants must attend the program in-person in Portland, Oregon.
