The masters degree program in health policy and administration is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Management Education (CAHME). The MHPA degree provides students with the knowledge, skills, and competencies necessary to become successful health care managers, policy analysts, and researchers. Students enter the program with a variety of undergraduate degrees, ranging from business administration, communication, pre-law, or political science to biology, psychology, health services administration, pre-medicine, or nursing. Some students use the MHPA degree to enhance their credentials for application to medical school, law school, and PhD studies. Graduates of the program are working in such career fields as financial management, managed care, group practice management, home health, public health, and hospital management.
