Clinical Psychology

Department Website www.isu.edu/psych/clinical-phd-program

The clinical psychology program at Idaho State University embraces the scientist-practitioner training model. Consequently, students are provided a firm grounding in the science of human behavior, knowledge of current best practices in evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment of common mental health problems, and supervised practice in a variety of clinical settings. All students perform empirical research by proposing, conducting, analyzing, and reporting a thesis and a dissertation. Professional development is capped by a year-long clinical internship at a site sponsored by the Association of Psychology and Postdoctoral Internship Centers. Current student admissions, outcomes, and other data are provided on the program's website at https://www.isu.edu/psych/clinical-phd-program.
