Idaho State University offers its MS program in Clinical/Medical Laboratory Science in Meridian and Pocatello, Idaho (24 - 36 month). The MLS/CLS program is accredited by the National Accreditation Agency for Clinical Lab Sciences programs (NAACLS) and includes qualification for students to gain certification for Medical Laboratory Scientist by the Board of Certification (ASCP). First year is to qualify the student for certification. The next 12 to 24 months involve further course work and research accumulating in a thesis. Prerequisites must be completed prior to applying to the MS MLS/CLS program.

Application deadline for program is February 28, for admission the following fall, although later admissions may be considered. All programs are competitive, with application decisions made based on GRE scores, GPA for last 60 credits (as calculated by the ISU Graduate School), letters of recommendation, and short essay. Financial aid is processed through the Financial Aid Office of ISU. There are no special requirements or deadlines for WRGP applicants. The MS MLS program will accept up to 3 qualified WRGP applicants among the programs.

This program is a hybrid program that combines online and on-campus learning.
