Social Work

Department Website

Accredited by the Council on Social Work Education, this program is coordinated around an advanced generalist perspective. Wyoming offers a unique geographical and social structure for providing educational and research opportunities relevant to social work practice for rural and isolated communities. The program emphasizes community-based practice with individuals, families, groups, and the communities themselves. Full-time standard (no BSW degree) and advanced standing (BSW from CSWE-accredited institution) programs are available.  We also offer a graduate certificate program in School Social Work, a preparatory course required by Wyomingâ??s Professional Teaching Standards Board for social workers in K-12 Wyoming schools.
