Department Website

Our graduate program allows students to take courses in organizational communication, political communication, interpersonal communication, and intercultural communication. They are also able to cluster their courses in these areas in order to customize their degree. We have a strong social media emphasis in our department and discuss new media and social media research in all of our courses. We also have courses in technologies of communication. Our graduates are well prepared for careers in public relations, public affairs, management, and communication analysis.

Applicants must apply to the NMSU Graduate School and provide transcripts, three letters of reference, a writing sample, and a professional goals statement. No GRE exam is required. An undergraduate GPA of 3.25 or better is required.
