The graduate program in Athletic Training is designed to prepare students to become entry level athletic training professionals. The curriculum is based upon cognitive and psychomotor learning
experiences which prepares students for the Board of Certification (BOC) exam. In order to become eligible to sit for the BOC examination, students with this degree must successfully complete all of the course work within the professional areas, complete competencies and clinical integration proficiencies, as well obtain clinical experience each semester over the course of the two-year (6 semester) program. The program begins in the second summer
session (July). The UM Masters in Athletic Training Program was granted initial accreditation in 2015 and is currently accredited by CAATE through 2022-2023.
