International Affairs and Global Enterprise

Department Website www.miage.utah.edu

The University of Utah Master of International Affairs and Global Enterprise (MIAGE) program is an interdisciplinary degree which provides students with essential knowledge of international business, international law, and the socio-cultural and political-economic context within which global business occurs. The degree is a 39 credit-hour program which seeks to fill the growing need for more globally sensitive graduates who show a deeper and more sophisticated appreciation of the international issues confronting business, government and non-governmental organization leaders today.

For-profit and not-for-profit firms are constantly expressing the need for people with a highly developed global mindset. Although they can readily hire technical specialists (e.g. an accountant or financial analysts), they also perceive a need to complement such people with more informed generalists. The MIAGE program graduates students who complement traditional hiring needs in this respect.

The program draws faculty and courses from various departments within the College of Social and Behavioral Science, the S.J. Quinney College of Law, and the David Eccles School of Business.
