Nurse Midwifery & Women's Health Nurse Practitioner

The University of Utah has a nearly 40-year history of providing quality nurse midwifery education. The program has been accredited by the American College of Nurse Midwives since 1965. Graduates provide care for pregnant women (and their families) including ante-partum, intra-partum, and post-partum care. The curriculum emphasizes sensitive and personalized health care for women in their childbearing years. A sample program of study is available on our website. Student clinical sites include both rural and urban communities of the intermountain West. Graduates are eligible to sit for the ACNM national certification exam.
