The Interdisciplinary PhD Program in Communication and Information Sciences is a collaborative effort of the School of Communications, the Department of Information and Computer Sciences, the Department of Information Technology Management in the Shidler College of Business, and the Library and Information Science Program. It produces leaders in academia, government and industry with expertise that transcends individual disciplines and technologies. Focus areas include: Biomedical Informatics, Communication and Information Theories, Communication Policy and Planning, Human-Computer Interaction, Information Assurance, Information Systems and Services, Management Information Systems and Social Informatics.
