The Professional Science Master’s (PSM) in Environmental Geosciences is a new and innovative interdisciplinary 30-credit graduate degree certified by the Council of Graduate Schools through the Professional Science Master’s Association. The PSM allows you to pursue advanced scientific training while developing highly valued professional work-place skills. A three-credit internship with a STEM-related company or agency is required. The PSM program prepares students for high-level careers in science emphasizing skill areas such as communication, management, policy and entrepreneurship. PSM graduates are expected to progress toward leadership roles. Applicants are expected to have a bachelor’s degree in science, technology, engineering, mathematics, or related fields. Most applicants start in the fall semester, but it is possible to start in the spring or summer semester. Though there are no formal application deadlines, it is prudent to apply at least three months prior to intended start date.
