Earth Sciences

Department Website

The Earth Science masters degree is designed for professionals who plan to teach earth sciences at the secondary or college level, but is also appropriate for people who want to strengthen their skills or change careers to the earth sciences. Programs of study are tailored to the needs and career interests individuals require. Many students research the learning/teaching of earth science concepts, but others are engaged in applied research projects in the geosciences or astronomy and occasionally in the atmospheric sciences or oceanography. In recent years, increasing numbers of our students are entering the field of environmental regulation and remediation.
