This dual-degree, three-year program provides students with core expertise in the field of anthropological research, as well as professional training in business and administration. The 30 credit-hour anthropology M.A. component covers the subfields of cultural anthropology, archaeology, and biological anthropology, with the possibility of a special concentration in one of them. The 39 credit-hour M.B.A. component includes coursework in statistics, economics, marketing, finance, accounting, and organizational behavior. Students completing the M.A./M.B.A. program are equipped for careers in the administration of anthropological institutions and resources (museums, cultural heritage sites, and major research projects, for example), as well as for research and cultural management positions within business, government, and nonprofit organizations.
