The Physics Department offers a Master of Natural Science degree in physics for in-service high school science teachers. This interdisciplinary program provides courses in contemporary physics, interdisciplinary science, and science pedagogy, as well as a culminating project of action research in the teacher's own classroom. This program is designed to be completed in three summers. Instruction is provided by experienced science faculty members with expertise in each course area as well as by leading master teachers for the pedagogy workshops.
