The School for Engineering of Matter, Transport and Energy at Arizona State University offers two degree programs in materials science and engineering: Doctor of Philosophy and Master of Science (thesis and non-thesis options). These interdisciplinary degrees are earned through a combination of coursework and research under the guidance of faculty. Core requirements include courses on advanced thermodynamics, structure and mechanical properties, kinetics and phase transformations in solids and physics of materials. The faculty and affiliated faculty have active research programs in high resolutions electron microscopy, electronic and optical materials, nanoelectronics, flexible display, photonics, computational and modeling, applied bioscience and energy.

After admission to their degree program, WRGP qualified applicants may apply to the WRGP program by submitting the WICHE WRGP Application Form found at http://graduate.asu.edu/forms.
