The MS in Applied Geospatial Sciences is an interdisciplinary program in which students learn to collect and analyze place-based environmental, socioeconomic and cultural data, and how to develop and implement Geodesign plans and policies to build better communities. The program offers emphases in geospatial technologies, geographic information systems (GIS), and community planning that address diverse topics from economic development to environmental stewardship and traditional human and physical geography. Career opportunities include urban planner/community development, GIS analysis, transportation management, natural resource management, environmental interpretation, emergency management, demography, and market analysis.
