The Combined Counseling/School Psychology PhD Program offers doctoral education and training in combined health service psychology areas of counseling psychology and school psychology. The program prepares students to function as well-rounded scientist-practitioners with a strong foundation for work in both counseling psychology and school psychology settings. Special emphasis is placed on practice with diverse populations in rural settings. Students complete an empirical doctoral dissertation and a 1-year pre-doctoral internship. This program leads to eligibility for licensure as a psychologist. Graduates obtain employment in school, private practice, community agency, healthcare, business, and academic settings.
